2009 Audition Dates Set!
Auditions for all first-year members who play a brass or woodwind instrument will be held on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. and will last until approximately 7:00 p.m. Out-of-state students who play such instruments may submit a taped audition or arrange for an appointment during their on-campus orientation if they choose.

Husky Varsity-Alumni Band International Performance Tour
Back by popular demand! That’s right! It’s time once again to begin planning for the 4th Husky Varsity-Alumni Band International Performance Tour. This first informational meeting will be Sunday, March 1st in the Don James Center. The tour is going to feature incredible performances and breathtaking scenery as we travel to Northern Italy and Switzerland. The tentative dates will be July 2nd-14th, 2010. As in the past, the tour is open to all current and former members of the Husky Band as well as family and friends. At the meeting, HMB Director, Brad McDavid will not only show pictures of all performance venues and the hotels but will also discuss the entire itinerary as well as the payment schedule for the tour.

CBDNA National Collegiate Marching and Athletic Band Symposium

The University of Washington Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Husky Athletic Band program is honored to host this prestigious event. From May 29-31, the UW will host college marching band directors from all over the country. For more info, click here.
