Brent Nagamine - Staff Assistant
Brent is in his second year both as a member of the Husky Marching Band and as an undergraduate student at the University of Washington. After marching and playing with the trombone section for a year, he moved to the band’s Student Staff as the Staff Assistant. He also is a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi and will be serving as the chapter’s parliamentarian in the 2010-2011 school year. Brent came to the University of Washington from Honolulu, Hawaii after graduating from Punahou School in the class of 2009.
Jonathon Torone is a fourth year band member and student at the University of Washington. He marched with the band for three seasons on the sousaphone before joining the Student Staff. Jonathon is majoring in Digtal and Experimental Media and Screenwriting and plans to attend graduate school for film in New York.

Haley Larkin - Music Librarian
Haley is starting her second year at University of Washington and marches Alto Saxophone in the band. She is majoring in Political Science and Women Studies and hopes to continue on to Law School after graduating. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas she graduated from Carroll Senior High in 2009.

Katherine Root, a third year member of the Mellophone section of the Husky Band. Originally from Basking Ridge, NJ, she is a Junior majoring in Interaction Design at the UW. This year, she hopes to see the Huskies make it to the Rose Bowl, meet people from other sections of the band, and convince everyone that the real New Jersey is nothing like MTV's version of it. Katherine is excited for her first year as uniform manager and hopes to do a great job with her awesome co-worker Claudia. Go Dawgs!

Samantha is a third year band member majoring in Criminal Justice/Forensic Psychology at Seattle University. She is a member of the piccolo section and is looking forward to this season. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 2008.
Angel Saucedo - Drum Majors
My name is Angel Saucedo I have a drama degree from the University of Washington. This will be my 5th year in the band and fist year as drum major. Before this I was part of the most spirited section in the band the cymbal section. I am looking forward to a great year of husky football.
Tyler Leitch - Drum Majors
Tyler is entering his third year as an undergraduate at the University of Washington. A former clarinet man, he will now be performing as Drum Major in Husky Band for his third year. Tyler graduated from Potomac Senior High School in Woodbridge, Virginia, where his family lives. He plans to major in English and Philosophy, and after leaving the University he hopes to become a high school English teacher. Outside of Husky Band, Tyler enjoys cooking, playing the piano, reading, and his fraternity, Kappa Alpha. He is looking forward to another great season of Husky football! Go Dawgs!
Catherine Watters - Feature Twirler
Catherine, a junior majoring in Dance Performance with a minor in Communications, is proud to be a Husky from Southern California! In 2006, Catherine was a gold medalist and World Pairs Champion for Team USAin Eindhoven, Netherlands. Later that year, she was one of eight baton twirlers chosen to represent the United States in Trujillo, Peru at the Festival de la Primavera, sponsored by Lions Club International. While there, she performed her twirling skills to raise money for hospitals and many charitable causes within Peru. She holds numerous elite state, regional and national baton twirling titles, and in 2008 was the non-finalist talent winner in the Miss California Pageant, the state final competition to the Miss America Pageant. Last year, Catherine won the title of Miss Greek, a philanthropic pageant held here on campus, as she represented her sorority, Chi Omega! She raised $8,600 for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center! GO HUSKIES!!!
Martha Chan - Piccolo Section Leader
Martha Chan is proud to be this season's 2010-2011 Piccolo Section Leader. This is her fourth and final year with the band and second year as section leader. She will be finishing her double major studying Law, Societies and Justice (LSJ) and Public Health. When she is not on the field marching or playing the flute and piccolo, she can be found running or biking around Seattle. Martha was the former President and Vice President of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Music Fraternity, and works as a Student Coordinator at the UW First Year Programs Office. Go Dawgs!
Laura Denney - Piccolo Section Leader
Laura Denney is a fourth year band member majoring in Psychology and French. She is excited to be piccolo section leader for the 2010-2011 band season. When not tearing it up on the field she can be found making coffee as a barista in Wallingford, or working in the Social Identity Lab. Go Dawgs!

Jen is in her fifth year in band and she is thrilled to be section leader for a second year! She is majoring in Applied and Computational Mathematical Sciences in Statistics. Jen graduated from Redmond High School but is a proud native of California. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and crafting. She is also a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi. Go Dawgs!
Rachelle Moore
- Clarinet Section Leader
Rachelle is a fourth year clarinet member and this will be her first year as a Section Leader. A graduate from Mark Morris High School in Longview, WA, she plans to major in Sociology and go on to graduate school to get her Master's in Social Work. Rachelle is extremely excited for the 2010 season to begin! Go Dawgs!
Brad Carl
(Alto) - Saxophone Section Leader
Brad hails from Sumner, WA and is a senior at the UW majoring in Atmospheric Sciences. He plans to someday become a broadcast meteorologist (or in more simple terms, a T.V. weatherman) and has already gotten a great deal of experience serving as Steve Pool's weather intern at KOMO 4 over this past year. Brad is excited to see a great season of Husky Football and hopes that the Dawgs will make it to a bowl game this time 'round. Brad is proud to be a section leader of the Husky Saxes and looks forward to making it a great year along with his fellow sax players. Go Dawgs!
Geoff Veld (Tenor) - Saxophone Section Leader
This is Geoff's 4th year at UW. As a graduate of Mountain View High School in Vancouver, WA, it is also his 4th year as part of Husky Band. He is currently majoring in Paper Science Engineering. Geoff enjoys playing basketball, football, soccer, and softball for different intramural teams throughout the year and is hoping to experience the recently mysterious and elusive entity that is a winning Husky football season. He is excited to be a part of THE Husky Saxes and looks forward to a great year.
Matt King - Saxophone Section Leader
Hello world, allow me to introduce you to Matt King. It is his 3rd
year in band, and he could not be more excited to be section leader
this year. He is highly anticipating UW's first win against Oregon in
a number of years, and would like to see USC fall to the Huskies for a
second year in a row! If Matt is not memorizing music or at HMB
practice, odds are he will be studying either History or Latin, for
these are his majors. With these majors, he intends to pursue a career
in Museology or teaching at thehigh school level. When not studying or
practicing, he enjoys playing tennis and watching any number of
well-received Harrison Ford movies. If Matt could be any animal, he
would choose to be a hybrid of a shark because they like to feast on
Ducks, a wolf because they eat Beavers, and a man because they hunt
Cougars. Go Dawgs.
Matthew Gilliman - Saxophone Section Leader
This is Matthew's third year in Husky Band and first as section leader. Coming to HMB from Austin, Texas, he is just beginning to get past a fear of melting in the rain during outdoor rehearsals. A major in Near Eastern Studies, he is taking a one-quarter "working vacation" from a year abroad in Turkey in order to have the pleasure of marching one last time before returning to Istanbul and later going on to graduate school. Dan Reisinger - Mellophone Section Leader
Dan Resinger "In his fifth year at the University of Washington, Dan is VERY excited to be a Husky Mellophone! Residing from Redmond, WA, Dan played French horn in the concert band, and trumpet in the jazz and pep bands at his school, while also participating in various sports. Aside from marching band, Dan now spends most of his time studying Civil and Environmental Engineering and participating as a Brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, the national honorary fraternity committed to serving bands. As mentioned earlier, Dan could not be more excited to be a part of the EPIC Husky Mellophone Section, coming off of winning the Husky High-Step Award last year and the Most Musical Section award the previous year. Dan cannot wait to welcome new members into this very friendly section and enjoy another exciting year of Husky sports!"

Eric Siebert is a senior at the University of Washington, currently in his fourth year with the Husky March Band. He is a psychology major with minors in music, philosophy, and law, societies and justice. He graduated from Mercer Island High School in 2007, where he played in the concert, jazz, and marching bands. Eric is excited for another great season with the band, and watching the resurgence of great Husky Football. Go Dawgs!

Rob Watters - Sousaphone Section Leader
Rob Watters is a 4th generation husky excited to return as the sousaphone section leader for his 4th year in the Husky Band. Rob went to high school in Sequim, WA and played in the band all four years. He learned about the Husky Band while attending Husky Band Day in 2003 and has wanted to be a part of it ever since. The husky sousaphone section is excited to honor our tradition at Washington, and could not be more excited for 2010 Husky Football! Turn your swag on, woof!
Josh Chan - Drumline Section Leader
Josh will be a junior at UW and a 3rd year member of the Husky Drumline. This fall, he will be declaring his major in Electrical Engineering, with hopes of also achieving a degree in Music Education somewhere down the road. During the summer, he is one of the percussion instructors for the Seattle All-City Marching Band and during the school year, he teaches drumline/concert percussion at local middle and high schools in the Seattle area. Josh is excited to serve the drumline as this year’s section leader and for another great season of Husky Football!
